I've finally stopped trying to sell or trade my maps, the economy of the day won't allow for someone to purchase something like this or at least trade something of value..., I've went as far as offering the Wa State map for $70.00 and a bag of candy... I guess they didn't take me seriously.

I'm still searching for rare documents, or old documents with interesting articles, details, or just some sort of historical value. I've come across a few interesting books I'll take pictures of and post soon, I found a page out of an older book in a frame at a junk store as well as an old post card, the post card on back read a note sent to an individual complimenting them on their entry in some sort of contest or market..., not sure, the writing is a little hard to read but I got most of it and will post soon with pictures. It may take a while to get a response to anything in these blogs, but even if you just visit, say hey or something :)

Map of Canada
This map is in horrible shape, but cool, vibrant colors, loaded with historical value, and it was folded...., yes someone folded it and not in a nice way either..., I thought of putting it in a two way glass frame, what do you think? Anyhow this one is dated 1942, and has my uncles name in pencil on it somewhere..., I forget..., I put it back into storage after taking these pictures...., what do you have?

What's up world of collectors?

I have this map of Washington State, I bought it for about $1.00 at an old store that was closing down, not enough business and the man there was tired of it. I researched this map for a while...., got tired of it... and put it away...., a while later I came across it again and got curious..., I e-mailed a few places but they all wanted to see the map.... unfortunetly at the time they were too far to drive, and bus service would have been a nightmare. I researched it on-line again and came across a map identical to this was selling for $750.00 That's a lot of green..., still I have yet to find anyone willing to buy it let alone trade something decent for it. Anyhow it's in my collection now, and probably will be for a while longer...., do you have any interesting finds, low purchases with high value? I want to hear about it!!!
